Attending Individual Courses

Are you interested in taking individual classes or language courses at Montanuniversität Leoben and would like to continue your education without enrolling in a full degree programme?
Then, the non-degree programme for attending individual courses is the right option for you.

What is a non-degree programme?

The non-degree programme for attending individual courses allows you to take selected courses and exams without being enrolled in a regular (degree-seeking) study programme.
You are not admitted to a specific degree, but only to selected individual courses.

⚠️ Participation in a non-degree programme does not lead to a degree.

Admission is possible throughout the semester.

What should be considered?

  • The tuition fee (€363.36) and ÖH student union fee must be paid – regardless of your nationality.
  • Many course registration deadlines end before the semester starts – early planning is strongly recommended.
  • Course-specific admission requirements(see MUonline).
  • Degree-seeking students have priority in course registration.
  • Exams taken as a non-degree student will count towards a future regular study programme.
  • A non-degree programme may affect your social insurance, financial support, or residence/mobility status.
→ Please check with the relevant authorities in advance for any potential restrictions or disadvantages.
