Prepare Online
Would you like to prepare before your first day at the university, or don’t have time to attend live welcome sessions? No problem. You can complete our online offers whenever it suits you. In the Moodle course and the iMOOX courses, you’ll find subject-specific introductions as well as important information on starting your studies, university tools, study organisation, and life at university. Everything is designed to guide you step by step, without stress and without fixed times.
Moodle Course
The Moodle course 641.041 “MUL. An Essential Starter Guide” helps you get to know the Study Center building and prepares you for typical everyday situations you may encounter as a student. You’ll receive practical information, helpful tips, and a first overview of what to expect in everyday student life. The course is only available to already enrolled students. If you complete it successfully, you will receive 2 ECTS credits. Registration: via MUonline until 30 November 2026
iMOOX Course
You are not enrolled yet, but already want to prepare for your studies? Then the iMOOX courses are just right for you. They can be used independently of your enrolment status and you can explore a wide range of content designed to make your start at the university easier. Montanuniversität Leoben currently offers courses on Mechanics and Mining Economics. The best part: The offer is continuously expanding, so keep an eye out for new courses
