Unfortunately, your application has reached us outside the deadline.
We would like to point out that a system maintenance run will be carried out in the applicant portal before the start of the next application phase, which is why the documents you have already submitted cannot be included in the review process.
To ensure that your application reaches us on time and can be included in the review process, please resubmit your application during the relevant application period.
Please note the following tips for a successful application:
1. Did you prepare all the necessary documents?
2. Are your official documents (school leaving certificate, Bachelor's degree, transcript of records, etc.) properly legalised and translated?
3. Do you have a corresponding proof of language proficiency?
We would also like to point out that multiple applications prolong the application process, as a separate equivalence check must be carried out for each application. We therefore recommend that you apply for the degree programme that interests you the most.
Visa and Residence Permit for Austria
To study in Austria as a third-country national, you need a student residence permit. Apply for it at the Austrian representative authority in your home country and wait for the result there. In special cases, you can apply in Austria but only if you have visa-free entry.
Attention: A digital copy of our admission letter is enough for the residence permit application submission.
You will have to complete courses with a total value of 16 ECTS or 8 Semesterstunden (semester hours) within one year of study. If you do not meet this requirement, it may affect your residence permit extension application. In the worst case, this application for extension will not be granted. You would then only be able to stay in Austria until the end date of your current residence title.
You don't have to proof funds to study at our university, but a proof of funds is required for the application for a residence permit in Austria.
To be able to enter Austria and pick up your residence permit, you will have to apply for a visa D for pick up. This visa is only for a one time entry to Schengen. Nevertheless, we highly recommend you to come to Austria early enough, since there will be a few things to do for you in Leoben before you will get your residence permit card:
1. Final enrolment at MUL --> You will have to submit a confirmation of enrolment
2. Registration with the city of Leoben --> You will have to submit your confirmation of registration in Leoben (in Austria we call it "Meldezettel").
3. Getting an “all risks” covering health insurance
With your residence permit you are allowed to travel in Schengen and stay within other Schengen countries for 90 days within 180 days.

Basically, the two study programmes Responsible Consumption and Production and Circular Engineering deal with similar topics. A significant difference, however, is the duration of the program (RCP 8 semesters, CE 7 semesters) and the fact that a stay abroad at one of the partner universities (EURECA-PRO) is compulsory within the framework of RCP.
Admission to a Master's degree programme
After the first examination of your documents from the admission office, your application then has to be checked carefully by the study programme coordinator and the dean of studies.
